Green fishing floats…set of 3.
Handblown glass 6 inch floats, handtied with twine.
The sea had only just whithdrawn, and I was the first to walk the pristine flood line. Empty shells, wood beams, bottles and frayed peices of cable were thrown together. Seeminly at random, organized in an abstract way. I don’t know what I expected to find, just looking for that unique shell, a message-in-a-bottle? The morning sun reflected off a half embedded piece of glass and bending down I pulled it out. How many thousands of miles did it travel? How many months or even years? Had it belonged to a fisherman from Japan, the Azores, Crete, Tahiti?
